Dear Superintendent Barrow & Fayette County Board of Education,

This letter is in response to the notice sent by Laura Paulsel on Sept. 2, 2016, regarding incomplete immunizations.  It reads, "If I do not hear from you before next Friday your child will not be permitted to attend school on Monday, September 12."

I oppose vaccinations.  Please see the documentary film VAXXED that is streaming online, which features CDC whistleblower Dr. William Thomspon on the dangers of vaccines.  The Q & A following the May 13, 2016 screening in Atlanta with producer Del Bigtree was informative.  This film is doing well across the country and internationally and is raising red flags for many parents.

I have written Congressman Lynn Westmoreland urging him to allow former CDC employee Dr. William Thompson to testify before Congress.  VAXXED awareness flyers were distributed around the Chadsworth at Ashton Reserve neighborhood on Sept. 5, 2016.  Labor Day was a good day to go door-to-door, as many people were home.  This school health issue also concerns me as a teacher educator, and I plan to address it at the September 19th board meeting.  Please investigate the mandatory childhood vaccine issue and consider the consequences of enforcing it in light of new data.

Dear Parents,

Three weeks ago you received letters home alerting you that your child is missing some immunizations that are required for 7th Grade.

The deadline to submit a completed Georgia vaccination record is next Friday, September 9th.

We will expect an auditor from the county in my office on the 19th of September.

If you are not able to get your child's immunizations updated by next Friday, please call my office as soon as possible Monday morning.  If I do not hear from you before next Friday your child will not be permitted to attend school on Monday, September 12.

If you are new to Georgia, please know that I cannot accept out of state vaccination records-- they must be transferred onto Georgia forms, and this can be completed at a physician's office or at the Fayette County Health Department.

If you have questions, please call me on Monday.

Thank you for your consideration!

Laura K. Paulsel, RN

School Nurse,

J. C. Booth Middle School.
